P-SERIES UL FIRE RATED DOOR SYSTEM
Chem-Pruf P-Series UL Fire Rated fiberglass door systems provide the ultimate FRP fire rated barrier. The Chem-Pruf P-Series UL Fire Rated door is constructed with a fire-resistant mineral core surrounded by techtonite stile and rails with concealed intumescents. The door panels are completed with a strong chemical bond that fully integrates all components using a press-mold technology and are factory finished with a semi-gloss urethane topcoat. UL Fire Rated -The Chem-Pruf P-Series UL Fire Rated door has successfully tested to both UL 10B (neutral pressure) and UL 10C/UBC 7-2 (positive pressure) test standards.
Gelcoat -The skins for the door begin with the application of an “in-mold” 25-30 mil gel coat. A connective tissue is formed with a chopped strand glass fiber mat, followed by a muscular bi-axial glass fiber structural reinforcement layer that further strengthens the door skins.
The composite skins are simultaneously fused onto both faces and all edges of the door under pressure until cured – forming a bond that fully integrates all components. This is a highly advanced method of assembly using press-mold technology. Each door is factory finished with a specially formulated multi-component polyurethane industrial chemical coating for the semi-gloss color topcoat.
Pultrusion Stile and Rail –The stile and rail construction starts with a fire-resistant mineral core surrounded by techtonite stile and rails and FRP edge strips for added hardware reinforcement and sealing of core.
