PULP & PAPER INDUSTRY
The pulp and paper industry comprises manufacturing enterprises that convert cellulose fiber into a wide variety of pulps, papers and paperboards. A large percentage of their fiber comes from wood, the balance from wastepaper and a very small quantity of cotton rags or linen. Wood is reduced to fiber by a process including heat, high humidity and corrosive chemicals. The fibers are then mixed with water, adhering to one another as the water is removed by pressure and heat. The humidity and chemicals introduced into the atmosphere through this process can quickly turn a steel door in a pile of rust. Chem-Pruf fiberglass doors are corrosion resistant to this environment and are backed with a lifetime warranty against failure due to corrosion.
