Applications Style 2
Chem-Pruf's Style 2 double rabbet frame has a profile of 3/4" x 5-3/4" with a fixed 2-5/8" return designed to trim the wall, concealing rough and unfinished wall surfaces.
The fixed flange is always to the door side. 1/8 x 2-5/8" angle trim is available to completely trim an opening with a wall thickness up to 18".
This frame is solid fiberglass and its narrow profile is perfect for maximizing the size of the door opening. This frame can also be manufactured at depths of 3-1/2" and 4".
Technical Information
Chem-Pruf® was the first fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) manufacturer
to resin transfer mold a solid fiberglass frame. Our frames were
engineered to be as corrosion resistant as can be made, easy to install,
and strong enough to survive even the most extreme conditions. The
outer surface of Chem-Pruf® door frames consist of a 25-mil gel coat layer,
which is molded in. This gel coat layer is the first line of defense
against environmental and chemical attack. It is equivalent to about
50-60 coats of paint and will never need painting.
Chem-Pruf® frames use various types of inorganic cores to reduce weight
and provide structural rigidity. Our frames are manufactured using
a resin transfer method in closed rigid molds, assuring uniformity in
color and size. The frames are assembled to the door at the factory,
and all hardware is fitted as required. This assures that all components
work properly when installed in the field.
