Applications

Chem-Pruf® has been able to combine the corrosion resistant properties of the standard door with the strength to resist pressure up to 150 psf for applications such as hazardous material storage, automotive, chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical facilities.

Technical Information

Chem-Pruf® blast rated doors have been certified by Inchcape Testing Services/Warnock Hersey to a maximum tested pressure of 150 psf, per ASTM E 330.  They have also been tested for wind load of up to 150.75 psf, equivalent to 242.66 mph winds.  Chem-Pruf® blast rated doors could be used in areas that are prone to high winds, to withstand forceful cyclic pressures.

The construction of blast rated doors slightly differs from that of standard Chem-Pruf® fiber reinforced plastic doors.  The use of woven roving makes the face plates strong to be able to withstand the pressures generated by wind load than a standard Chem-Pruf® door.
