Applications
Chem-Pruf's® Pharmaceutical Door Series has a smooth, non-porous surface which is extremely easy to clean. Seamless in design and manufactured using all non-organic materials, this door will stand up to even the harshest disinfectants and cleaning agents. For environments where aesthetics, durability, and hygiene are a major concern, Chem-Pruf's® pharmaceutical door is an excellent choice.
Technical Information
Chem-Pruf® pharmaceutical doors are manufactured of fiberglass reinforced plastic and have a fiberglass content of 25-30% by weight. The fiberglass laminate consists of a 25-mil gel coat applied to the mold surface. This gel-coat layer is the first line of defense against chemical attack and is available in all colors. Layers of glass mat and roving, saturated with resins, complete the laminate. The plates and collar of the door are one homogenous and engineered resin system, incorporating chemical and physical bonding.
The interior of the door is manufactured entirely of non-organic materials with a mineral core and Firestop, a dense gypsum material, around the perimeter.
Bottom Note:
The use of fire-construction materials, such as Firestop and mineral core, in place of organic materials does not qualify a Pharmaceutical Series Door as fire-rated.
